A while ago Arizona decided it wanted a hockey team before it remembered it had been during an arid, desert region of the us. After they received the electric bill resulting in nil one came to watch their games the Coyotes decided to go bankrupt. And next billionaire hockey aficionado Jim Balsillie stepped in find the team and move it online back-up north to Canada.
Well this rubbed Arizona hockey fans the wrong manner. Even though the team has lost over $300 million dollars from the 14 possibly even longer years it is often in Arizona, they want the team to settle. The NHL wants the team to remain in Arizona to boot as well as being asking everybody to obtain the Coyotes which keeps it of Canadian hands. This fits with Arizona鈥檚 repertoire of taking such thinggs as the London Bridge using their company countries and putting them in a desert. What exactly is billionaire to complete?
Recently, the judge presiding on the team鈥檚 bankruptcy said the timeframe Balsillie had in mind was unrealistic. They needed more to find things squared away and then the June deadline just might not do. This led Balsillie to improve the sale to September. Balsillie wants a mediation hearing together with the NHL to exercise their differences. They are even considering paying a relocation fee of $100 million.
So can Jim Balsillie get his way? Oh yeah. Although Arizona and also NHL tend to be stubborn, the reality is obvious. In Arizona, the team loses money. Outside of their name, celebrate no sense at all in the Coyotes to stay in Arizona. Really the only reason the NHL are being a jerk about it is (I鈥檓 guessing) achieve extra money.
